The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) which was earlier conducted by the CBSE will now be conducted by NTA from 2019. The applicants who clear NEET are eligible to seek admission to MBBS/BDS courses. In 2018, 13 lakh students took the exam and a similar number of students are expected to appear for NEET 2019. Documents required for filling NEET 2019 application

The list of documents needed by the candidates includes:
— Class 10 marksheet
— Class 12 marksheet.
— Scanned copy of candidate’s passport sized photograph.
— Scanned copy of candidate’s signature.
— Valid ID proof like Aadhaar card or Voter ID card.

NEET UG 2019: Exam pattern and syllabus

The NEET is a three-hour long exam which includes three sections – physics, chemistry and biology. Of the total 180 questions, 90 would be from biology and 45 each from physics and chemistry. The syllabus includes the whole of Class 11 and 12 standard NCERT textbooks in the respective subjects. Every correct answer would fetch you plus four marks while every incorrect answer results in a negative mark. Questions that are not attempted do not have any penalty marks.

Step-by-Step Guide to Fill NEET 2019 Application Form

Filling the NEET application form consists of four simple steps as indicated below:
Step 1 – Registration

The first step is to generate NEET Registration Number and Password. This can be down by following these steps -
Visit the official website i.e. and click on the ‘New Registration’ link.

Read the instructions carefully and click on ‘Apply Online’. The details to be filled in the application form are as follows – 

Name as per Aadhaar Card
Date of Birth as per Aadhaar Card
Parents’ Name as given in High School Certificate

Note:Once you click on ‘Final Submit’, you will not be allowed to change any details. Therefore, candidates are advised to review their application form carefully.
Step 2 – Uploading Photo and Signature

Post successful filling of application form, you will be issued NEET Login credentials. Enter the same and sign in again to complete NEET Application Form.
Next step is scanning and uploading Photo and Signature in the form as per the Guidelines for Uploading of Photo & Sign in NEET Form. A brief about the specifications are as follows:

Photograph 10 – 100kb JPG Photo must have candidate’s name & Date when the photo was taken
Signature 3 – 20 kb JPG Sign must be done with a blue or black pen on white background

Step 3 – Payment of NEET Application Fee
After filling the form, candidates have to pay the application fee through UPI App/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ E-wallet
The application fee of NEET 2019 is INR 1400 for general & OBC candidates and INR 750 for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.

– In addition to examination fee, service/processing charges will also be paid by the candidate along with Service Tax, for online fee payment.
– After final submission of fee, the form cannot be withdrawn. Any claims for refund of application fee will not be entertained. 
Step 4- Confirmation Page

If your application status shows ‘Confirmed’, it means your application is accepted by the exam authorities.
Take a print out of NEET Application Form as well as of the confirmation page.
How to Resize Images Using MS paint in NEET 2019?

Candidates can follow these steps to resize and compress scanned images of their photograph and signature through MS Paint, to the desired specifications mentioned in NEET official notification. 
Click on the “” key and search for paint
Open ‘MS Paint’ in your computer
Press ‘Ctrl+O’ and browse to the scanned images of your photograph/signature.
Now, press ‘Ctrl+W’ to open “Resize and Skew” window
Switch to Pixels instead of Percentage
Enter the specified pixels mentioned in notification for Photograph/Signature
Go to File tab and click on “Save As”
Choose ‘JPG/JPEG’ format and save the image in the desired location on your desktop.
